B. RECOGNITION
· Participated in the meetings for “Development of standards for quality control and data requirements for registration of Biopesticides under the Insecticide Act, 1968" as a member of the Core Group II for Biocides conducted by Dir. Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. Of India at Faridabad and Chennai on 19/2/97 and 16 - 17 June, 1997 respectively.
· Was nominated as a member of the Expert Group constituted by CIB in 2004 to look for the possibility to further simplify the existing guidelines for registration of bio-pesticides.
· Due to the expertise as well as infrastructure developed by me in the field of insect pathology i.e., microbial control of insect pests, the Directorate of Oilseeds Research has been recognized as a Bio-pesticide testing centre by the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India vide their letter dated 01/06/2000 F.No. RPTL/CCC/2000-01.
· Recognized as guide for guiding students for Ph.D. programmes in Animal Sciences dept. and Zoology dept. by Central University and Osmania University respectively and JNTU, Hyderabad.

C. PRODUCTS DEVELOPED-3
· Low cost Wettable powder formulation of Bt var. kurstaki with data for registration. Technology licensed to 40 firms till date.
· SC formulation of Beauveria bassiana with data for registration. Technology licensed to 3 firms till date.
· Developed a storable combination of Bt and B. bassiana for management of lepidopteran pest

D. REGISTRATION
My formulation of Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki H 3a, 3b, 3c 0.5% WP has been registered under the trade name KNOCK W.P. with the Central Insecticides Board, Govt. of India under Section 9(3b). This is the first formulation of a microbial pesticide from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, which has been registered for commercial use. This Bt formulation belonging to var. kurstaki is also the first one to be registered from the public sector for use against the lepidopteran pests.
E. COMMERCIALIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY

i. Process for mass multiplication of DOR Bt-1 (Bacillus thuringiensis serovar kurstaki H3a3b3c), its formulation (0.5 % WP) along with data on toxicology, shelf life, bio-efficacy in lab and field against pod borer in pigeon pea. This technology has been licensed to 40 firms involved in bio-pesticide production and sale. The formulation is also effective against stem borer and leaf folder in rice as evidence by results of testing under AICRP (rice).
ii. Process for mass multiplication of Beauveria bassiana (Isolate ITCC 4513) liquid formulation (30% suspension concentrate) and data on toxicology, shelf-life, bio-efficacy in lab and field against Helicoverpa armigera on sunflower and pigeon pea. This technology has been licensed to 3 firms.                                
F. MICROENTERPRISES ESTABLISHMENT:
Established 3 micro-enterprises in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts of A.P. in association with non-governmental organizations for Bt production and trained the local youth to undertake the production. Thus Bt is being made available to the farmers at an affordable price.
