· 102-3 Genetic Enhancement Through Biotechnological Approaches in safflower
· Genetic Engineering of male sterility and fertility restorer lines in safflower (as PI) – ICAR AP Cess Fund – completed in 2006
· Development of improved biocontrol agent for castor wilt management- Registration of potential biocontrol agent T. viride for commercialization (as Co-PI) - APNL project - completed in 2006
· Identification of serotypes of local isolates of Bt potent against castor semilooper, toxicity tests fro registration and production technology transfer through micro-enterprise (as Co-PI) – APNL project - completed in 2006
· Reduction of Toxic Endosperm proteins, Ricin and RCA, in Castor (Ricinus communis L.) through Post Transcriptional Gene Silencing Technologies

· Molecular Genetic Analysis of Transgenic Male Sterile and Restorer Lines in Safflower (Carthamus tinctorious L.) – DBT project – completed in December 2010
· Validation of RNAi Constructs for Restoration of Fertility in Male Sterile Transgenic Tobacco plants as a prelude to their utilization in Safflower (Carthamus tinctorious L.) – DBT Project completed in December 2010
· Development of high oil safflower by multi-gene engineering – DBT project completed in May 2012

Genetic Enhancement Through Biotechnological Approaches in Castor
• Deciphering the molecular mechanism of induction of biotic stress tolerance induced by Trichoderma spp. in castor (Ricinus communis L.)"

Trainings undertaken (National & International)

• Completed Post-Doctoral training in Crop Biotechnology under BOYSCAST Fellowship sponsored by DST, GOI at Washington State University, Pullman, USA during 1998-99
• A short term Hands-on training programme on Environmental Bio-safety during “Confined Field Trials of Genetically Engineered Crops” during August 3-12, 2008 at MSU, USA and USTDA, USA.
• A DST sponsored training on “Perspectives and Current Trends in Bioinformatics” during February 9-15, 2009 DST organised at CCMB, Hyderabad.
