  • Contributed to the release of six high yielding, wilt and leafhopper resistant castor genotypes through CVRC for all castor growing areas of the country
    • Four hybrids: ICH-5, ICH-66, DCH-519, GCH-8 
    • Two varieties: DCS-107 and 48-1 
  • Associated with the release of nine high yielding, wilt and leafhopper resistant castor genotypes through sharing of parents to different AICRP (Castor) centres located in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh.
    • Six hybrids: GNCH-1, YRCH-2, YRCH-1, HCH-6, PCH-111, PCH-22
    • Three varieties: Ytp-1, Pragathi, JC-24 
  • Consistent breeding activities in castor led to the development of 23 pistillate (female) and 98 male lines with distinct morphological, agronomic traits.
  • Eight parents-7 pistillate lines viz., IPC-21, M-571, IPC-15, DPC-16, M-619, DPC-9, LRES-17 and one male line (DCS-106) registered with PGRC, ICAR-NBPGR for their unique traits and resistance to pests and diseases.

  • As Co-Nodal officer, DUS Project, registered DCS-107 as a new variety by PPV & FRA, New Delhi with Registration No.123 of 2015. Date of Grant: 27th April, 2015. DCS-107 is the first castor variety of ICAR protected by PPV & FRA, New Delhi as a new variety.
